New Photography Featuring the Queen

...Delta Queen that is. Isn't she a lovely river vessel? Before moving to Madison, Indiana, I was always partial to the Belle of Louisville. Now that I live in Indiana, I've been drawn to the majesty of the Queen. As crowds gathered to greet her for each visit and passengers walked the plank, my heart opened to this glorious riverboat. She won the Golden Antlers in her Derby Race with the Belle this year. My first photograph of the Queen available on Etsy features this prize. This was her final voyage down the Ohio as she'll now become a boutique hotel in Chattanooga. I'm just happy to have witnessed the glory and pride she brought to her loyal fans in Madison.

What a lovely boat! My sister rode a steamboat several years ago, may have been this very one, and was thrilled with the experience! I need to add that to my list of things to do.

I love the boat race. As a Belle of Louisville fan (I visited it this weekend on my trip from DC), I am sad to see the rival leave but I am sure many others will enjoy her.

What a great snapshot of her voyage from home!
